An expert in training, curriculum development and security inspection, Gary is responsible for the development and delivery of training for all S2 Global staff, partners and customers. Prior to joining S2 Global, he held a number of senior positions within the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and was CEO of Global Customs Security Consulting, Inc., a private consulting firm of former U.S. Customs officials combining over 250 years of U.S. Customs experience in over 50 countries.
Al retired from U.S. Customs/Customs and Border Protection in January 2016 with 41 years of service. He is a subject matter expert (SME) in Non-Intrusive Inspection Systems (NII), with extensive airport, land border and seaport experience and responsible for providing training to S2 Global image analysts, field operators and a variety of government law enforcement agencies. At S2 University, Al has had the opportunity to train professionals at the US Customs & Border Protection, Royal Oman Police, S2 Albania; Ireland Customs; Sri Lanka Customs; S2 Guatemala and Qatar Customs. Al also assists with training development and trains new instructors in S2 University best practices.
Christian is responsible for fusing all content into S2 University’s curriculum. He has 12 years of educational experience supported by strong design and curriculum development knowledge.
DJ Clark is an experienced professional with over 20 years of expertise in military operations, management, international training, and civilian security training programs. He holds a Master of Science in Homeland Security & Emergency Management and a Bachelor of Arts in Social & Criminal Justice, graduating Cum Laude. Currently serving as a Training Manager at S2 Global, he specializes in x-ray image analysis and CertScan integration platform training, program assessment, technology deployment, and program management for customs agencies worldwide. Mr. Clark’s extensive experience in coordinating logistics and delivery support for security-focused training programs, along with his counterterrorism expertise, underscores his leadership and operational skills.
Russ is a former manager with U.S. Customs and Border Protection bringing 30 years of trade and narcotics enforcement experience, border security knowledge, and training deliverables to S2 University. As an Assistant Area Port Director, he provided a combined strategy of industry partnerships, advanced information and effective targeting and examination to ensure anti-terrorism and border security mandates are accomplished in the cargo environment, while facilitating legitimate trade. Russ served as the lead instructor for several Customs and CBP initiatives, both foreign and domestic and is a Customs subject matter expert producing port security assessments under SouthComm for a number of Caribbean ports.
